BRUTALIST
A style in art and especially architecture using exaggeration and distortion to create its effect (as of massiveness or power). I intersected blocks of metal to create a heaviness to the design and a nod towards architecture but with some irregularities that might not hold up in large-scale buildings. That's what I love about furniture design. You can create things that might not be feasible in other artistic mediums. The table and wall sculpture are made from straight cuts of sheet metal that are welded together and then distressed with a burnished patina. The glass top floats stably over five anchor points.
