String theory is a developing theory in particle physics that attempts to reconcile quantum mechanics and general relativity. It is a contender for the theory of everything, describing the known fundamental forces and matter in a mathematically complete system. String theory mainly posits that the electrons and quarks within an atom are not zero-dimensional objects but rather one-dimensional oscillating lines or strings. A super-symmetry exists in an extra, unobservable dimension in our universe, in addition to the usual four space-time dimensions. The String Theory Table is a dining table but also an art piece. Finished in a dark palette of adonized black steel tubing, polished black granite plinth and a dark grey tinted glass top. The various plans, densities, and juxtaposition creates multiple dimensions of dynamics. Dimensions are 84x39x30"h. Pricing and availability available upon request.
